December 3 – Dear Lord, endow me with the Spirit of wisdom to pursue only those things in life that please you.  Remind me of my goodly heritage in you and show me who you are, but also show me more about who I am and who I can be. Amen. (Hebrews 12:16)

December 4 – Dear Lord, sustainer of life, May be faith be rooted and grounded in love and obedience.  May I produce the fruits of the Spirit by living for you and in your word and putting aside the concerns and temptations of the world.  Amen. (Galatians 5:22-23)

December 5 – Dear Lord, Today, Lord, fill me with joy based not on the circumstances of the day but in the certainty of your mercy and love.  Teach me to rejoice and celebrate my salvation.  Amen. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-24)

December 6 – Dear Lord, You are the model of compassion and kindness in my life.  Teach me to see others with your heart and to accept their love for me with an open heart. Let me walk a path of kindness. Amen. (Psalm 25:4-9)

December 9 – Dear Lord, You have promised us fullness of joy.  Teach me to open my heart, my spirit and my life to be filled with eternal joy springing from your love and mercy everlasting and eternal. Amen. (Psalm 30:2-13)

December 10 – Dear Lord, help me prepare a place for you in my life.  Create in me a desire to have you a part of all that I do and all that I say.  Make me aware that you are always with me, helping me, holding me up.  Amen. (Matthew 2:1-8)

December 11 – Dear Lord, I am free in you.  Your grace surrounds me, your words instruct me, your heart loves me.   Teach me to use my freedom to reach out to others and to bring them the good news of pardon.  Amen. (Jeremiah 23:5-8)

December 17 – Dear Lord, I give you praise of thanksgiving and wonder for my salvation and for the birth of Lord we celebrate today.  Fill me with the Holy Spirit and use me as your witness to this miracle of love. Amen. (Psalm 89:2-5)

December 18 – Dear Lord, Your love is too great for me to comprehend.  I know that you chose to become human. Thank you.  Thank you that your desire has always been for reconciliation with me and that you draw me nearer to you.  Amen. (John 1:1-18)

December 19 – Dear Lord, Remind me that you are the founder of all the world and that you understand my needs and desires before I know them.  Show me how to listen as well as pray and give me rest and hope in you. Amen. (Proverbs 3:19-20)

December 20 – Dear Lord, Give me wisdom.  Help me to obey your word and learn.  Give me new awe and reverence for you that I might come before you with humble heart, willing to learn and ready to be filled.  Amen. (Proverbs 2:1-5)

December 21 – Dear Lord, I want to give freely.  I want to change the way I view my life and instead of seeing what I do not have, I want to see my many blessings.  Remind me of your loving provision.  Amen. (Proverbs 11:24-25)

December 22 – Dear Lord, I want a more gentle tongue.  I want my words to be kinder and my heart to be filled with gladness.  Show me how to accept other people with all their mistakes and differences.  Amen. (Proverbs 15:3-4)

December 23 – Dear Lord, Refine and purify me and make me more like you.  Give me the discernment not to listen to those who are stirring up trouble and fill me with compassion toward all people.  Amen. (Proverbs 17:3-5)

December 24 – Dear Lord, Give me a cheerful heart and teach me to seek you out when I am downcast.  Remind me that a cheerful heart will make me well in body and soul.  Spare me from depression and anguish. Amen. (Proverbs 17:22)

December 25 – Dear Lord, Let your grace and wisdom flow over me and sweeten my heart and soul, as honey sweetens the honeycomb.  Let me delight in your word and in your presence so that I might have hope. Amen. (Proverbs 24:13-14)

December 26 -- Dear Lord, thank you for all the people you have sent into my life that have helped me when I needed it most.  Please show me the work you have for me to do in this world and give me the grace, courage and love to do it.  Amen. (Hebrews 6:10)

December 27  – Dear Lord, your comfort is so important to me when the way becomes difficult.  Remind me always that you are near and that I am never be alone or forsaken.  Help me to see your provision in all the blessings I receive. Amen. (Psalm 23:4)

December 28 – Dear Lord, help me to see myself as you see me and know how much you love me.  Help me also to see the things I need to change to make myself more like you.  Please give me the strength to continue.  Amen. (Philippians 4:13)

December 29 -- Dear Lord, make me aware, O Lord, of your presence in my life when things are at their worst.  Remind me of your love and mercy when I feel there is no hope.  Then fill me with hope and transform my sadness into joy.  Amen. (1 Kings 17:12)

December 30 – Dear Lord, thank you O Lord, for being with me every day to teach me and give me encouragement.  Give me the courage to admit when I am trying to take control of my life instead of giving my life to you.  Amen.  (Job :24)

December 31 – Dear Lord, bestow your grace on me when I face losing someone I love.  Keep my heart open to give my sadness and grief over to you.  Remind me to pray for others who grieve that they may receive comfort from you.  Amen. (1 Corinthians 15:55,57)
